Online shopping by Italian consumers in 2017 reached 23.6 billion euros, an increase of 17% over 2016.
The review of the eCommerce B2c Observatory, promoted by the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano and Netcomm, according to which online product shopping, 12.2 billion euros, grow by 28% in the clothing sector and exceed for the first time those services.
Tourism is still ranked first with 9.2 billion euros, followed by computer and consumer electronics and apparel (2.5 billion, + 28%). Among the most important emerging sectors are furniture and home living and food & grocery that together account for almost 1.8 billion euros. Smartphone shopping grow by 65% and exceed this year by 5.8 billion euros.
