On 22 April in Singapore it was opened the exhibition “Van Cleef & Arpels: The Art and Science of Gems” created in collaboration with the French National Museum of Natural History, in Paris.
“Van Cleef & Arpels: The Art and Science of Gems” is a unique exhibition that will run until 14 august 2016 and it's very special because explores the artistic skills needed for creating fine jewellery and the nature's processes involved in the formation of minerals and gems. Craftmanship and nature are really a brilliant couple.
The focus of this exhibition are over four hundred pieces of jewelry selected by the Heritage Collection by Van Cleef & Arpels and those of selected private collectors that reflect the poetry, the skills and the unique artisanal experience of this extraordinary maison.
In this exhibition art, crafts, history and geosciences are combined in a highly original way.
