Know-how and tradition. Creativity and quality. These are the values shared by FENDI and Sartoria Massoli, and upon which Accademia di Sartoria Maria Antonietta Massoli's ambitious project is based. Bound by the same passion for fine quality and an obsession for detail, these two companies wanted to create a school for fine tailoring that would train a new generation of expert artisans, share know-how and preserve the culture, techniques and passion for tailoring, all in the name of Made in Italy.
Through a one year course in women's tailoring, students will learn the theory and techniques necessary to specialize in the creation of exceptional garments. The course will begin in October 2015 and will comprise 1,540 hours spread across theory and workshops, seminars, visits and internships. The course of study will include the history of fashion and costume, commodities, modeling, design techniques and company organization. Through seminars and workshops at Fendi, students will have an opportunity to discover an international company, like this Roman fashion house, close up.
