A wedding cake is the traditional cake served at wedding receptions following dinner. Traditionally, wedding cakes were made to bring good luck to all guests and the couple. Modernly however, they are more of a centerpiece to the wedding and are not always even served to the guests. Some cakes are built with only a single edible tier for the bride and groom to share. Just like the bouquet: the real one remains to the bride, then there's another very similar launched as usual at the end of the party. Also in Italy this tradition is in vogue but not about the cake!
In Italy the real cake is eaten: it brings good luck although it is a shame to destroy these splendid masterpieces of high confectionery. For an elegant wedding There are different shapes and tastes and not there is that the embarrassment of choice: from classic models with a cascade of swarovski, or decor style lace and flowers, especially orchids, to those most original design as piles of stacked pillows until the carriage of fables and haute couture models in which the cake is even a mannequin in a wedding dress in real scale.
