At almost 8 years after his death, the Foundation Pierre Bergé decided to launch within the next year well 2 museums dedicated to the work of the unforgettable French stylist in two different locations, both in his personal care: Paris and Marrakech. The Paris Museum will find historical place in his atelier at number 5 to Avenue Marceau, which, besides being for more than 30 years soul and headquarters of the maison on the legendary Rive Gauche, since 2008 is is the headquarters of the Foundation created by Pierre, the cofounder of this fashion company. Here will be displayed in rotation throughout the archives of the Foundation: over 40 years of pure creativity that revolutionised the fashion world. Ben 5000 heads of haute couture, 15000 accessories, sketches, photographs as well as objects that belonged to the legendary couturier. The Museum of Marrakech, where Yves Saint Laurent fell in love in 1966 and built a fabulous residence, will be right on rue Yves Saint Laurent, near the Majorelle garden which the designer and Pierre Bergé bought, and so saved from a real estate project.
Here on display will be a permanent exhibition temporary exhibitions and the structure of ben 4000 square meters will also host a library, an auditorium and a Parisian-style bistrot.
