Jordan Fashion Week, A Jordanian Touch with an International Presence

With the participation of more than 3,000 people; Jordan Fashion Week Founded by Shirene Rifai, has concluded its two-day event that took place at Kempinski Amman, with the presence of a wide number of international and local designers, media representatives, partners and supporters in addition to social media influencers with Arabic and international celebrities and public figures.

Various fashion shows and presentations by local and international designers took place throughout Jordan Fashion Week which were widely covered by local and international media. The Lebanese couturier, JEAN LOUIS SABAJI graduated from Domus Academy in Milan and comes from a family of fashion designers, along with TUFENKJIAN JEWELRY MAHMOUDIA opened with great success the Jordan Fashion week.  An International Closing ended the Jordan Fashion Week with SYLVIO GIARDINA TRIBUTE. The Italian fashion designer and Visual artist showed on Kempinski catwalk the intense shades of petrol green and lilac couture evening gowns. Furthermore, highly talented designers shown on catwalk their splendid collections worn by local and international models mostly of them came from Italy and were chosen by the Italian-Lebanese Institute of Culture (ICIL). Brilliant fashion designers have presented their distinctive creations as ZAINAB AL-KISSWANI Palestinian-Brazilian who offers a range of fashion, from ready-to-wear items to bridal and couture. MAIS AL-FATEH showed all about luxurious evening-wear. LAITH MAALOUF who started designing dresses for family members early on and then received professional training with Lebanese designer-to-the-stars Elie Saab. FADI ZUMOT an emerging artist and fashion designer studied costume design, fashion and pattern making in Jordan. SARA MANSOUR began her fashion career at the London College of Fashion and then moved to the US to continue her work. Mansour’s clothing line features romantic silhouettes and nature-inspired details. Dana Shahin pursued her dream in becoming a worldwide fashion designer by earning a Fashion Design and Pattern Making degree from Milan, Italy. Her timeless and luxurious designs are inspired by everyday beauty tailored to accommodate the different styles and tastes of women. HUSSAM HADDADIN is a Jordanian fashion designer who was born in Amman. He graduated from the Bishop’ s School. Hussam holds a BS degree in Marketing from the University of Jordan. Ayesha Dabbas a Jordanian fashion designer, has had an innate passion for fashion since childhood.  Tatyana Aceeva is a leading Jordan-based fashion designer who aspires to art and fashion. Tatyana is half-Iraqi, half-Russian who has consistently enjoyed painting and fashion design. Creative Jordan JO! is a Jordanian sustainable fashion brand that has been developed within the Creative Jordan project. Trashy Clothing invite to dialogue and change into our daily lives. To break stereotypes put upon the Middle East and to provoke bigots. TRASHY is everything but mainstream fashion; creating their own rules. Jordan Fashion Week showed also men fashion with Moustache collection presenting a wide range of Tuxedo and suits to fit every occasion. Ever since, is considered one of the favorite formal attire brands for every Jordanian man. ELZAY has established its own men’s brand named ZAY. The brand is intended for the professional and businessmen looking for a stylish traditional look for work and leisure. Kyte Culturedriven by their true passion for men’s apparel, Yazin and Khalid came together to start their own men’s clothing brand that showcases masculinity in its freshest form.

Jordan Fashion Week has provided local designers with the opportunity to meet and interact with other global audiences and showcase their work to buyers and investors from different countries. Moreover, JFW has contributed in offering several opportunities for the local designers to meet, interact and showcase their talent to buyers, fashion designers and fashion experts from around the world.  JFW is a special platform that aims to reflect the culture of fashion and creativity in Jordan; while offering a new meaning for beauty and fashion through its implied messages that holds national, humanitarian and loyalty aspects.
