In traditional Japanese clothing, from Edo period, women adorned her hair with Kanzashi, amazing kind of flower decoration made with small pieces of cloth folded, pushed and sewn together and supported by metal clips.
Today they are used for weddings by iconic brides or geishas and their number and complexity show the social status of the lady who wears them.
The japanese artist Sakae, inspired by the traditional kanzashi, has created some beautiful hair ornaments in colored resin and brass wire, obviously handmaded so each piece is absolutely unique.
Today just like yesterday.
