For Shwood, the american brand based in Portland, the first to launch wooden glasses, fashion has to be eco-friendly. For this reason it launched an interesting and experimental line of eyewear realized with recycled paper that seem real wood.
For the collection "Newspaper" which boasts 5 models available each in a limited edition of 50 pieces, Shwood used rollers and glue to treat 488 meters of daily papers turned into 10 cm diameter logs, then sawed in thin layers and worked until obteining the frames decorated with a small laminated insert where you can see a fragment of the original newspaper text.
In fashion, as in science, "nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transformed”.
