Press Campaign f / w 2018-19 by Dior
Inspired by the cult film of the Nouvelle Vague La donna è donna, by Jean-Luc Godard, the Maison campaign presents a woman who is both multifaceted and unique, committed and first of all free. A vision of femininity claimed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and here embodied by independent heroines. Animated by the spirit of revolt of May '68, source of inspiration of the collection, these beautiful intellectuals pose - sometimes alone, sometimes in a group - in front of Pamela Hanson's lens, dressed in a wardrobe stamped by codes.
Under the floral patchwork skirts or dresses, they wear clogs or biker boots. Playing on the mix of genres, thus revolutionizing the codes of college girls, they take their plaid motifs to create them to symbols of a rebellious youth, in search of freedom. The embroidery of the clothes, which represent the elements - like water, air or earth - are also those of a busy woman, like the oversized pullover on which we read "C'est non, non, non et non!", I cry of revolt inspired by a scarf from the Miss Dior prêt-à-porter line, launched in full effervescence of the 60s.
